Masayuki Wakayama, Yuko Murakami, Atsushi Nakamura, Motoo Sekiguchi,, Hiroaki Wada

TL;DR
This paper uses lattice QCD with truncated overlap fermions to study the properties of $a_1$ mesons, successfully matching experimental data for ground and excited states.
Contribution
It introduces a lattice QCD approach with truncated overlap fermions to accurately compute $a_1$ meson states, including radial excitations.
Findings
Results align with experimental $a_1$(1260) and $a_1$(1640) meson masses.
Demonstrates the effectiveness of truncated overlap fermions in meson spectroscopy.
Provides insights into the structure of $a_1$ mesons from lattice simulations.
Abstract
We study the ground state and next radial excitation of the mesons from a quenched lattice QCD simulation with the truncated overlap fermions formalism based on domain wall fermions. Our results are consistent with the experimental values for (1260) and (1640).
