TL;DR
This paper presents an expanded GLEAM survey of the Galactic Plane, providing a detailed source catalogue and images across multiple frequencies with improved deconvolution techniques, covering significant Galactic regions.
Contribution
It offers a new, extensive radio source catalogue and images of the Galactic Plane with enhanced deconvolution, covering previously uncharted regions and improving data quality.
Findings
Catalogue of 22,037 radio components with high accuracy.
Coverage of 2,860 deg² of the Galactic Plane.
High reliability and completeness of the source catalogue.
Abstract
This work makes available a further 2,860deg of the GLEAM survey, covering half of the accessible Galactic Plane, across twenty frequency bands sampling MHz, with resolution . Unlike previous GLEAM data releases, we used multi-scale clean to better deconvolve large-scale Galactic structure. For the Galactic longitude ranges , , we provide a compact source catalogue of 22,037 components selected from a 60-MHz bandwidth image centred at 200-MHz, with RMS noise mJy beam and position accuracy better than . The catalogue has a completeness of 50% at mJy, and a reliability of 99.86%. It covers Galactic latitudes toward the Galactic Centre and for other regions, and is available from Vizier; images covering for all…
