TL;DR
This paper reviews the historical development of the neutrino magnetic moment, highlighting its conceptual origins and early theoretical calculations during the gauge theory era.
Contribution
It provides a historical overview of the neutrino magnetic moment's conceptualization and initial magnitude estimates, emphasizing its evolution over time.
Findings
Neutrino magnetic moment was first proposed by Wolfgang Pauli.
Its magnitude was estimated during the gauge theory period.
The paper contextualizes the historical significance of these developments.
Abstract
In this historic Lomonosov conference on the occasion of 150 year anniversary of the Mendeleev's periodic table, I present the history of neutrino magnetic moment. It was first thought by Wolfgang Pauli and its magnitude was calculated during the gauge theory era.
