Transversity and heavy quark production on hadron colliders
G.P. Zhang

TL;DR
This paper investigates the azimuthal asymmetry in heavy quark production at polarized colliders to determine if transversity distributions can be observed with current or upcoming experiments, providing detailed calculations and numerical results.
Contribution
It offers the first detailed next-to-leading order analysis of azimuthal asymmetries in heavy quark production including explicit one-loop hard coefficients.
Findings
Numerical asymmetry results for proton-(anti)proton colliders.
Analytic expressions for one-loop hard coefficients.
Assessment of transversity effects at current and future colliders.
Abstract
The azimuthal asymmetry of heavy quarks production on double polarized proton-proton and proton-antiproton colliders are studied in this work at next-to-leading order in , with some details included. The purpose is to see whether the effect of extracted transversity distribution functions can be seen on present and near future colliders. All analytic one-loop hard coefficients are given. Numerical results for the asymmetry on proton-(anti)proton colliders are presented.
