On the equivalence between Starobinsky and Higgs inflationary models in gravity and supergravity
Sergei V. Ketov

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the theoretical equivalence between Starobinsky and Higgs inflation models within supergravity, showing they are different gauge descriptions of the same underlying model, thus unifying these inflationary scenarios.
Contribution
It extends the known equivalence of Starobinsky and Higgs inflation to supergravity, revealing they are gauge-dependent descriptions of a single supergravity framework.
Findings
Starobinsky and Higgs inflation are equivalent in supergravity.
The models appear in different gauges of the same supergravity theory.
The work unifies two prominent inflationary models under a common supergravity description.
Abstract
Starobinsky inflation and Higgs inflation in gravity, and their equivalence based on the common inflationary potential are extended to supergravity in the proper framework, where the Starobinsky and Higgs descriptions of inflation arise in two different gauges of the same supergravity model.
