Hyperon interaction with dense nuclear matter and link to neutron stars
Laura Tolos

TL;DR
This paper reviews hyperon interactions in dense nuclear matter, focusing on chiral effective field theories, and discusses their implications for neutron star properties based on recent results.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of hyperon-nucleon and hyperon-hyperon interactions with a focus on chiral effective field theories and their impact on neutron star modeling.
Findings
Hyperon interactions significantly influence neutron star equations of state.
Chiral effective field theories offer a systematic approach to hyperon interactions.
Results suggest hyperons affect neutron star mass and radius predictions.
Abstract
The theoretical status of the hyperon-nucleon and hyperon-hyperon interactions is reviewed, paying a special attention to chiral effective field theories. Results on hyperons in dense matter are presented and the consequences for the properties of neutron stars are analyzed.
