Cong Li, Jian Zhou, Ya-jin Zhou

TL;DR
This paper studies how the azimuthal asymmetry in lepton pair production varies with impact parameter in heavy ion collisions, revealing strong dependence influenced by linearly polarized photons.
Contribution
It provides new insights into impact parameter dependence of azimuthal asymmetry caused by linearly polarized photons in electromagnetic lepton pair production.
Findings
Strong impact parameter dependence observed.
Azimuthal asymmetry influenced by photon polarization.
Results enhance understanding of electromagnetic processes in heavy ion collisions.
Abstract
We investigate the impact parameter dependence of the azimuthal asymmetry for electromagnetic lepton pair production in heavy ion collisions. The asymmetry induced by linearly polarized coherent photons exhibits strong impact parameter dependence.
