Gravity, matters and dark energy on the minimal surfaces
Changjun Gao, Shuang Yu

TL;DR
This paper explores a novel model where gravity, matter, and dark energy are confined on separate minimal surfaces in a five-dimensional spacetime, analyzing their cosmic evolution within a FRW universe.
Contribution
It introduces a new framework of confinement on minimal surfaces and derives the equations of motion for such a setup in a cosmological context.
Findings
Cosmic evolution is studied with gravity and quintessence confined on minimal surfaces.
The model provides a different perspective on the distribution of matter and dark energy.
Potential implications for understanding dark energy and higher-dimensional theories.
Abstract
We propose gravity, matters and dark energy may be confined on different four dimensional \emph{minimal surfaces} for the observer in five dimensional spacetime. Following this idea, we construct the equations of motion when gravity, matters and dark energy are confined on different minimal surfaces. Then in the background of Friedman-Robertson-Walker universe, we investigate the cosmic evolution when gravity and quintessence are confined on the minimal surfaces.
