TL;DR
This study uses high-resolution microscopy to investigate how strontium-doped hydroxyapatite nanostructure changes during immersion in physiological solutions, providing insights into its dissolution behavior.
Contribution
It offers detailed nanostructural analysis of Sr-doped hydroxyapatite and its dissolution process in physiological environments, which was previously not well understood.
Findings
Nanostructure of Sr-doped hydroxyapatite was characterized using HRTEM.
The evolution of nanostructure during immersion was documented.
Insights into dissolution mechanisms of Sr-doped hydroxyapatite in physiological solutions.
Abstract
In this study, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, HRTEM, was employed to characterize the nanostructure of strontium substituted hydroxyapatite, Sr HA, and its evolution following in vitro immersion in physiological solutions.
