TL;DR
This paper analyzes the space-time waves emitted during the partial collapse of a spherically symmetric compact object, providing exact solutions and characterizing the emitted wave wavelengths in relation to the decay time scale.
Contribution
It presents the first exact analytical solutions for space-time waves during a specific collapsing scenario with back-reaction effects.
Findings
Exact solutions for space-time waves during collapse
Wavelengths of emitted waves are bounded by the decay time scale
Wave properties depend on the initial and final masses of the object
Abstract
We study the partial time dependent collapse of a spherically symmetric compact object with initial mass and final mass and the waves of space-time emitted during the collapse via back-reaction effects. We obtain exact analytical solutions for the waves of space-time in an example in which . The wavelengths of the space-time emitted waves during the collapse have the cut (we use natural units ): , -being the time scale that describes the decay of the compact object.
