Qi-Fang L\"u, Xian-Hui Zhong

TL;DR
This paper systematically studies the strong decay properties of higher excited singly heavy baryons using the $^3P_0$ model, providing theoretical insights for future experimental identification of these states.
Contribution
It offers the first comprehensive decay analysis of various higher excited $ ext{Lambda}_Q$ and $ ext{Sigma}_Q$ baryons within the $^3P_0$ model, highlighting their narrow widths and decay channels.
Findings
Most higher excited states have narrow widths.
Decays predominantly into heavy meson plus light baryon.
Results aid future experimental searches.
Abstract
In this work, we preform a systematic study of the strong decays for the higher singly heavy baryon resonances , , , , , , , and within the model. Our results show that most of the mode higher excited and states have a relatively narrow width, and mainly decay into two-body final states with one heavy meson plus one light baryon. Our calculations provide abundant theoretical information and demonstrate the general feature for these higher states, which may be valuable for future experimental searches and establishing the singly heavy baryon spectrum.
