Johan Bijnens, Nils Hermansson-Truedsson, Antonio, Rodriguez-S\'anchez

TL;DR
This paper presents analytical calculations for the hadronic contributions to the muon g-2, including operator-product expansion for quark-loops and finite volume effects in lattice QCD, advancing theoretical precision in Standard Model predictions.
Contribution
It introduces a new operator-product expansion for the short-distance hadronic light-by-light contribution and analyzes finite volume effects in lattice QCD calculations.
Findings
Derived the quark-loop as the first term in the operator-product expansion.
Calculated the next term in the operator-product expansion.
Proved finite volume effects start at order 1/L^3.
Abstract
This talk discusses two analytical calculations relevant for the Standard Model calculation of the muon . The first part is the recent derivation of the quark-loop as the first term in a well-defined operator-product expansion for the short-distance part of the hadronic light-by-light contribution, as well as the calculation of the next term. The second part is the calculation of finite volume effects relevant for lattice QCD calculations of the electromagnetic contribution to the lowest-order hadronic vacuum-polarization contribution and the proof they only start at .
