New examples of canonical covers of degree 3
Nguyen Bin

TL;DR
This paper introduces new examples of complex projective surfaces of general type with a canonical map of degree 3, including some with base points, expanding the limited known cases of such surfaces.
Contribution
It provides novel examples of surfaces with canonical maps of degree 3, notably including cases where the canonical map is not a morphism due to base points.
Findings
New examples of surfaces with canonical map degree 3
Some examples have canonical maps with base points
Expands the known class of such surfaces
Abstract
This paper presents new examples of projective surfaces of general type over with canonical map of degree onto a surface of general type. Very few examples are known of such surfaces and some of the examples in this paper present the new feature of having the canonical map not a morphism (i.e. the canonical linear system with base points).
