TL;DR
This study investigates the process $e^{+}e^{-} o D^{+} D^{-} \pi^{+} \pi^{-}$ at energies 4.36-4.60 GeV, measuring the properties of the $D_{1}(2420)^+$ and cross sections for related production channels.
Contribution
First measurement of the $D_{1}(2420)^+$ properties and cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}$ to $D^{+} D^{-} \pi^{+} \\pi^{-}$ processes at these energies.
Findings
Observed $D_{1}(2420)^+$ in the $D^{+} \\pi^{+} \\pi^{-}$ spectrum.
Measured mass and width of $D_{1}(2420)^+$ as 2427.2 MeV/c^2 and 23.2 MeV.
Determined cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-} o D_{1}(2420)^+ D^-$ and $e^{+}e^{-} o \\psi(3770) \\pi^{+} \\pi^{-}$.
Abstract
We report a study of the process using collision data samples with an integrated luminosity of at center-of-mass energies from 4.36 to , collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. The is observed in the mass spectrum. The mass and width of the are measured to be and , respectively. The first errors are statistical and the second ones are systematic. In addition, the Born cross sections of the and processes are measured as a function of the center-of-mass…
