Holographic line defects in F(4) gauged supergravity
Kevin Chen, Michael Gutperle

TL;DR
This paper constructs a regular supersymmetric solution in six-dimensional F(4) gauged supergravity representing a holographic line defect in a five-dimensional dual theory, and computes related physical quantities.
Contribution
It introduces a new regular supersymmetric solution with a line defect interpretation in F(4) gauged supergravity, expanding holographic defect models.
Findings
Solution preserves 8 of 16 supersymmetries.
Calculates expectation value of the defect.
Determines one-point function of stress tensor.
Abstract
In this note we construct a solution of six-dimensional gauged supergravity using warped over an interval as an ansatz. The solution is completely regular, preserves eight of the sixteen supersymmetries of the vacuum and is a holographic realization of a line defect in a dual five-dimensional theory. We calculate the expectation value of the defect and the one-point function of the stress tensor in the presence of the defect using holographic renormalization.
