Measurements of inclusive jet spectra in pp and central Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 5.02 TeV
ALICE Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper presents detailed measurements of inclusive jet spectra in proton-proton and central lead-lead collisions at 5.02 TeV, revealing jet quenching effects and comparing results to theoretical models.
Contribution
First measurements of inclusive jet spectra in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV, including jet cross-sections, ratios, and nuclear modification factors, with comparisons to NLO predictions.
Findings
Strong jet quenching observed in Pb-Pb collisions.
Jet spectra show $p_T$-dependence consistent with energy loss.
No significant $R$-dependence of jet suppression within uncertainties.
Abstract
This article reports measurements of the -differential inclusive jet cross-section in pp collisions at = 5.02 TeV and the -differential inclusive jet yield in Pb-Pb 0-10% central collisions at = 5.02 TeV. Jets were reconstructed at mid-rapidity with the ALICE tracking detectors and electromagnetic calorimeter using the anti- algorithm. For pp collisions, we report jet cross-sections for jet resolution parameters over the range GeV/, as well as the jet cross-section ratios of different , and comparisons to two next-to-leading-order (NLO)-based theoretical predictions. For Pb-Pb collisions, we report the and jet spectra for GeV/ and GeV/, respectively. The scaled ratio of jet yields observed in Pb-Pb to pp…
