Modified Frost formula for the mobilities of positive ions in their parent gases
S. A. Khrapak, A. G. Khrapak

TL;DR
This paper proposes a modified Frost formula that accurately predicts the mobilities of positive ions in their parent gases across a wide range of conditions, improving upon previous models.
Contribution
The paper introduces a modified semi-empirical Frost formula that better matches experimental data for ion mobilities in rare gases.
Findings
Modified formula shows excellent agreement with experimental data.
Effective across a very extended range of reduced field strengths.
Improves predictive accuracy over existing models.
Abstract
A modification to the semi-empirical Frost formula for the mobilities of singly charged positive ions in their parent gases is proposed. The modified expression demonstrates excellent agreement with experimental results for different ionized rare gases in a very extended range of reduced field strengths.
