Nishal Rai, Subir Mukhopadhyay

TL;DR
This paper explores a holographic model using D2-D8 branes to numerically demonstrate the emergence of charge and spin density waves, analyzing their behavior under varying chemical potential and magnetic field.
Contribution
It introduces a D2-D8 holographic model that exhibits spatially modulated phases, specifically charge and spin density waves, through numerical solutions.
Findings
Numerical solutions show spatially modulated charge and spin density waves.
Free energy density varies with chemical potential and magnetic field.
Model captures key features of density wave phenomena in holography.
Abstract
We have considered D2-D8 model and obtain a numerical solution that exhibits spatially modulated phases corresponding to a charge density wave and a spin density wave. We have analysed behavior of the free energy density for different values of the chemical potential and the magnetic field.
