Gamow-Teller transition strengths for selected ${fp}$ shell nuclei
Vikas Kumar, Praveen C. Srivastava, Anil Kumar

TL;DR
This paper systematically models Gamow-Teller transition strengths in specific $fp$ shell nuclei using shell model interactions, achieving qualitative agreement with experimental data and closely reproducing summed transition strengths.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive shell model analysis of Gamow-Teller transitions in selected nuclei, including higher orbital effects with $fpg_{9/2}$ space and new interactions.
Findings
Qualitative agreement with experimental transition strengths
Summed transition strengths closely match observed data
Higher orbital effects are significant for certain transitions
Abstract
We have reported a systematic shell model description of the experimental Gamow-Teller transition strength for Sc Ca, Ti Sc, Ti V, Co Ni, and Fe Co transitions using KB3G and GXPF1A interactions for model space. In order to see the importance of higher orbital for Co Ni and Fe Co transitions, we have reported the shell model results with space using GXPF1Br+ interaction. We have obtained the qualitative agreement for the individual transitions, while the calculated summed transition strengths closely reproduce the observed ones.
