TL;DR
This paper proposes a simple, physically motivated model linking charge dependence of the pion-nucleon coupling constant and nucleon-nucleon scattering parameters to particle masses, aligning well with experimental data.
Contribution
It introduces a straightforward model that explains charge dependence in pion-nucleon interactions based on mass proportionality, supported by comparison with experimental results.
Findings
Model predicts charge dependence consistent with experimental data.
Calculated $np$ and $nn$ interaction parameters agree with observations.
Supports Yukawa meson theory in describing low-energy nucleon interactions.
Abstract
The simple model describing charge independence and charge symmetry breaking of the pion-nucleon coupling constant is proposed. The model, which has simple physical meaning and foundation, suggests directly proportional dependence of the pion-nucleon coupling constants on the masses of interacting nucleons and pions. Charge dependence of the pion-nucleon coupling constant and the -state low-energy nucleon-nucleon () scattering parameters are studied on the basis of the Yukawa meson theory. The values of the and interaction characteristics calculated by the proposed model agree quite well with the experimental data.
