Damon J. Binder, Shai M. Chester, and Silviu S. Pufu

TL;DR
This paper computes the first subleading correction to the four-point function of stress tensor operators in ABJM theory at finite string coupling, connecting supergravity results with string theory and M-theory predictions.
Contribution
It determines the $R^4$ correction to the four-point function at finite string coupling in ABJM theory, providing a key check of AdS/CFT beyond leading order.
Findings
Reproduces known $R^4$ contributions to the type IIA S-matrix.
Shows the four-point correlator interpolates between supergravity and M-theory regimes.
First check of AdS/CFT at finite string coupling for local operators.
Abstract
We consider the four-point function of operators in the stress tensor multiplet of the ABJM theory, in the limit where is taken to infinity while is held fixed. In this limit, ABJM theory is holographically dual to type IIA string theory on at finite string coupling . While at leading order in , the stress tensor multiplet four-point function can be computed from type IIA supergravity, in this work we focus on the first subleading correction, which comes from tree level Witten diagrams with an interaction vertex. Using superconformal Ward identities, bulk locality, and the mass deformed sphere free energy previously computed to all orders in from supersymmetric localization, we determine this correction as a function of . Taking its flat space limit, we recover the…
