## TL;DR

This paper explores how asymmetric cross-shaped plasmonic antennas with surface corrugations can be engineered to control light polarization and directionality at the nanoscale, advancing optical antenna technology.

## Contribution

It introduces a novel design of asymmetric cross-shaped antennas with surface corrugations for enhanced polarization and emission control.

## Key findings

- Directional light transmission achieved
- Polarization states can be selectively controlled
- Surface corrugations improve emission properties

## Abstract

I discuss progress in the development of asymmetric cross-shaped plasmonic antennas based on resonant nanoscale apertures surrounded by surface corrugations. By tailoring the aperture and the surrounding surface, we show directionality and polarization control of transmitted light.
