Mathias M. S{\ae}ther, Per Lunde, Stian Almenningen, Geir Ersland

TL;DR
This paper reviews experimental methods for measuring acoustic wave velocities in hydrate-bearing rocks and presents an example measurement in Bentheim sandstone using Fourier spectrum analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a measurement example of wave velocities in hydrate-bearing sandstone using Fourier spectrum, expanding experimental techniques in this field.
Findings
Measured compressional and shear wave velocities in hydrate-bearing Bentheim sandstone.
Demonstrated the application of Fourier spectrum method for acoustic measurements.
Reviewed existing experimental methods for hydrate-bearing media.
Abstract
Experimental acoustic laboratory measurement methods for hydrate-bearing poroelastic solid media are biefly reviewed. A measurement example using the Fourier spectrum method is given, for compressional and shear wave velocities in hydrate-bearing Bentheim sandstone.
