Integrable deformations of string sigma models and generalized supergravity
Jun-ichi Sakamoto

TL;DR
This thesis explores integrable deformations of the AdS5×S5 superstring using Yang-Baxter techniques, revealing their relation to supergravity solutions, duality transformations, and string consistency conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a supercoset construction for homogeneous Yang-Baxter deformations and links these to duality transformations and generalized supergravity, providing insights into string theory consistency.
Findings
Derived general formulas for YB deformed backgrounds.
Showed YB deformations correspond to O(d,d) duality transformations.
Constructed a local counterterm to cancel Weyl anomaly in generalized supergravity.
Abstract
This thesis is mainly devoted to studying integrable deformations of the superstring and generalized supergravity. We start to give a brief review of the superstring formulated in the Green-Schwartz formalism, and then introduce homogeneous Yang-Baxter (YB) deformation of the superstring based on -matrices which are solutions to the homogeneous classical YB equation. By performing a supercoset construction, we derive the general formula for homogeneous YB deformed backgrounds associated with bosonic -matrices. The deformed backgrounds are shown to be solutions of the standard type IIB supergravity or generalized supergravity. Next, we explain that homogeneous YB deformation can be regarded as a kind of the duality transformations. Once YB deformations are realized as duality…
