Aspects of the new Fayet-Iliopoulos terms
Fotis Farakos

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent developments in a new type of Fayet-Iliopoulos terms in N=1 supergravity that do not require gauging R-symmetry, highlighting their properties and implications.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of the properties and recent advances related to the new Fayet-Iliopoulos terms in supergravity.
Findings
New Fayet-Iliopoulos terms do not require R-symmetry gauging
Properties of these terms are systematically analyzed
Implications for supergravity model building are discussed
Abstract
We review the properties of the new type of Fayet-Iliopoulos terms that do not require the gauging of the R-symmetry when embedded in N=1 supergravity, and we discuss recent developments.
