## TL;DR

This paper explores how an $SU(2)_R$ R-symmetry influences Higgs boson alignment and how its breaking sources can be quantitatively analyzed within a supersymmetric framework.

## Contribution

It introduces a parametrization of $SU(2)_R$ symmetry breaking that helps understand Higgs alignment and misalignment in supersymmetric models.

## Key findings

- Higgs alignment can be achieved through $SU(2)_R$ symmetry.
- Supersymmetry keeps misalignment sources small.
- The parametrization allows quantitative analysis of symmetry breaking effects.

## Abstract

We explain how an $SU(2)_R$ R-symmetry allows alignment of the vacuum expectation value and the mass eigenstates in the Higgs bosons squared-mass matrix. More important, we discuss how our parametrization of the breaking of this global symmetry allows to quantitatively apprehend the diverse sources of misalignment, which are kept, by supersymmetry, small.
