Giuseppe Dibitetto, Nicol\`o Petri

TL;DR
This paper reviews new warped AdS3 backgrounds in massive IIA string theory derived from lower-dimensional supergravity solutions, exploring their brane configurations and holographic duals involving defect superconformal field theories.
Contribution
It summarizes the derivation of novel warped AdS3 solutions in massive IIA from 6d and 7d supergravities and discusses their brane intersections and holographic interpretations.
Findings
New warped AdS3 backgrounds in massive IIA
Relation to D2-D4-NS5-D6-D8 brane intersections
Holographic duals as defect SCFTs in higher-dimensional theories
Abstract
We summarize the results and the ideas in 1707.06152, 1707.06154, 1807.07768 where new warped backgrounds are derived in massive IIA string theory by uplifting exact solutions in , and , gauged supergravities. These solutions are respectively asymptotically and and they are related to the D2-D4-NS5-D6-D8 brane intersection. We provide a particular supergravity solution in 10d describing this bound state and we discuss the relations between its near-horizon geometry and the uplifts from 6d and 7d. Then we give the holographic interpretation of these warped backgrounds in terms of defect within the and the .
