## TL;DR

This paper surveys the theory of deformations of isolated singularities, focusing on smoothability questions and relationships between invariants like Milnor and Tjurina numbers.

## Contribution

It provides a comprehensive overview of deformation theory for singularities and discusses the connections between various invariants and smoothability.

## Key findings

- Analysis of conditions for smoothability of singularities
- Relations between Milnor number, Tjurina number, and smoothing components
- Summary of deformation theory for isolated singularities

## Abstract

We give a survey on some aspects of deformations of isolated singularities. In addition to the presentation of the general theory, we report on the question of the smoothability of a singularity and on relations between different invariants, such as the Milnor number, the Tjurina number, and the dimension of a smoothing component.
