TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a novel temperature control method that enables switching between high-power LP11 and LP01 modes in a fiber laser, achieving significant power levels in both modes.
Contribution
It introduces a new temperature-based mode-switching technique for high-power fiber lasers, allowing efficient control over transverse modes.
Findings
Achieved 17.8 W in LP11 mode
Switched to 16.5 W in LP01 mode using temperature control
Demonstrated effective mode switching at high power levels
Abstract
A transverse mode-switching method was proposed and demonstrated in a high-power ytterbium-doped fiber oscillator. 17.8 W LP11 mode laser was obtained, and it could be switched to 16.5 W LP01 mode laser through temperature control.
