TL;DR
This paper explores how gauge three-forms in $ =2$ supersymmetric theories can dynamically generate parameters in the scalar potential, influencing supersymmetry breaking and low-energy physics.
Contribution
It introduces a formulation of $ =2$ supersymmetric Lagrangians using gauge three-forms, revealing their role in parameter generation and supersymmetry breaking.
Findings
Gauge three-forms can dynamically generate scalar potential parameters.
They influence partial supersymmetry breaking mechanisms.
The approach impacts low-energy effective theories in $ =2$ supersymmetry.
Abstract
We formulate global supersymmetric Lagrangians of self-interacting vector multiplets in terms of variant multiplets, whose non-propagating fields are replaced with gauge three-forms. Setting the three-forms on-shell results in a dynamical generation of the parameters entering the scalar potential. As an application, we study how gauge three-forms may determine the partial breaking of supersymmetry and how they affect the low energy effective description.
