Bo Liu, Zhan-Ying Yang, Rui-Hong Yue

TL;DR
This paper investigates the phase transitions of higher-dimensional AdS black holes in massive gravity, revealing tricritical points and complex phase behaviors influenced by interaction potential terms.
Contribution
It introduces the analysis of tricritical points and solid/liquid/gas phase transitions in higher-dimensional AdS black holes within massive gravity, considering fifth order interaction terms.
Findings
Discovery of tricritical points in black hole phase diagrams
Identification of solid/liquid/gas phase transitions
Dependence of critical phenomena on interaction potential terms
Abstract
By considering the fifth order term of the interaction potential in massive gravity theory, we study the critical behaviors of AdS black hole in dimensional space-time, and find the tricritical point and the solid/liquid/gas phase transition in addition to the Van der Waals-like phase and the reentrant phase transition of the system. The critical phenomena of black holes depend crucially on the number of interaction potential terms.
