C.Q. Geng, Y.K. Hsiao, Chia-Wei Liu, Tien-Hsueh Tsai

TL;DR
This paper analyzes three-body charmed baryon decays using SU(3) flavor symmetry, fitting parameters to existing data, confirming isospin relations, and predicting branching ratios to guide future experiments.
Contribution
It provides a systematic SU(3) symmetry-based framework for three-body charmed baryon decays, including parameter fitting and decay predictions, with implications for resonance effects.
Findings
SU(3) symmetry fits decay data with reasonable chi-squared.
Triangle sum rule of decay amplitudes holds under SU(3).
Predicted branching ratios are smaller than some experimental observations.
Abstract
We study the three-body anti-triplet decays with the flavor () symmetry, where denotes the charmed baryon anti-triplet of , and and represent baryon and meson octets, respectively. By considering only the S-wave -pair contributions without resonance effects, the decays of can be decomposed into irreducible forms with 11 parameters under , which are fitted by the 14 existing data, resulting in a reasonable value of for the fit. Consequently, we find that the triangle sum rule of given by the isospin symmetry holds under , where stands for the decay amplitude. In addition,…
