TL;DR
This paper calculates the structure functions of vector mesons at order 1/N using holography, revealing non-commuting limits and improving agreement with lattice QCD results.
Contribution
It introduces 1/N corrections to vector meson structure functions via holography, highlighting the non-commutativity of large N and high energy limits.
Findings
First moments of F1 for rho meson match lattice QCD results
Non-commutativity of large N and high energy limits
Improved accuracy over planar limit holographic calculations
Abstract
The structure functions and of the hadronic tensor of vector mesons are obtained at order and strong coupling using the gauge/gravity duality. We find that the large limit and the high energy one do not commute. Thus, by considering the high energy limit first, our results of the first moments of for the rho meson agree well with those from lattice QCD, with an important improvement of the accuracy with respect to the holographic dual calculation in the planar limit.
