Scale setting in inclusive jet production at hadron colliders
Joao Pires

TL;DR
This paper reviews the current understanding of inclusive jet cross sections at hadron colliders within perturbative QCD, focusing on the impact of renormalisation and factorisation scale choices at NNLO.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of scale dependence in NNLO calculations of inclusive jet production, highlighting areas for theoretical improvement.
Findings
NNLO calculations reduce scale uncertainties compared to lower orders.
Scale choices significantly affect the precision of jet cross section predictions.
The review identifies key challenges in achieving more accurate theoretical predictions.
Abstract
In this contribution we review the status of inclusive jet cross sections at hadron colliders in perturbative QCD, studying in particular the renormalisation and factorisation scale dependence of the one-jet inclusive cross section at NNLO.
