TL;DR
This paper introduces a quantum adaptation of the swampland conjecture, linking quantum instabilities in de Sitter space to challenges in constructing string theory vacua, thus advancing understanding of quantum gravity constraints.
Contribution
It proposes a quantum version of the swampland conjecture, connecting quantum instabilities to the difficulty of realizing de Sitter vacua in string theory.
Findings
Quantum instabilities of de Sitter space are related to string theory vacua challenges.
The paper establishes a theoretical link between quantum effects and string landscape constraints.
Abstract
In this paper we propose a quantum version of the swampland conjecture. We argue that quantum instabilities of de Sitter space discovered using field theoretical methods, are directly related to the difficulties in finding stringy de Sitter vacua.
