Qi-Li Liao, Ya Deng, Yan Yu, Guang-Chuan Wang, and Guo-Ya Xie

TL;DR
This paper evaluates the production rates of heavy quarkonium states via Higgs boson decays using NRQCD, providing analytic expressions and estimating yields at the LHC, including both S-wave and P-wave states.
Contribution
It introduces an improved trace technology for analytic amplitude calculations and comprehensively analyzes heavy quarkonium production through Higgs decays within the NRQCD framework.
Findings
Predicted decay widths for various quarkonium states.
Estimated production of hundreds of thousands of quarkonium mesons per year at LHC.
Inclusion of both color-singlet and color-octet contributions.
Abstract
The production of the heavy quarkonium, i.e., (or ), , and - quarkonium [-quarkonium for short], through Higgs boson semiexclusive decays is evaluated within the NRQCD framework, where stands for the production of the two color-singlet -wave states, and , the production of the four color-singlet -wave states, i.e., , (with ). Moreover, according to the velocity scaling rule of the NRQCD, the production of the two color-octet components, and , are also taken into account. The "improved…
