Front blocking in the presence of gradient drift
Simon Eberle

TL;DR
This paper establishes quantitative criteria for when a gradient drift can prevent the propagation of traveling waves in higher-dimensional cylinders, assuming the drift has a potential.
Contribution
It provides new mathematical conditions that determine wave blocking by gradient drift in multi-dimensional settings with potential functions.
Findings
Derived explicit conditions for wave blocking
Extended previous results to higher dimensions
Applicable to drifts with potential functions
Abstract
In this paper we derive quantitative conditions under which a compactly supported drift term blocks the propagation of a traveling wave in a straight cylinder in dimension under the condition that the drift has a potential.
