TL;DR
This paper calculates the form factors for rare Lambda_b decays into nucleons and leptons using light cone QCD sum rules, including negative parity baryon contributions, and estimates their branching ratios for potential observation at LHCb.
Contribution
It introduces a calculation of decay form factors in light cone QCD sum rules considering negative parity baryons, providing new predictions for branching ratios of Lambda_b decays.
Findings
Branching ratios suggest these decays are measurable at LHCb.
Form factors are computed including negative parity baryon effects.
Predictions are compared with existing literature for validation.
Abstract
Form factors of the rare decays are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules by taking into account of the contributions from the negative parity baryons. Using the obtained results on the form factors, the branching ratios of the considered decays are estimated. The numerical survey for the branching ratios of the and decays indicate that these transitions could be measurable in LHCb in near future. Comparison of our predictions on the form factors and branching ratios with those existing in the literature is also performed.
