TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential of future high-energy colliders to discover excited $u$ and $d$ quarks through dijet final states, demonstrating significant discovery reach and the ability to probe compositeness scales.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of excited quark detection prospects at FCC and SppC, including mass reach and compositeness scale determination capabilities.
Findings
FCC can discover excited $u$ quarks up to 44.1 TeV
SppC can discover excited $d$ quarks up to 47.8 TeV
Potential to determine compositeness scale up to multi-PeV
Abstract
Resonant production of excited and quarks at the Future Circular Collider and Super proton-proton Collider have been researched. Dominant jet-jet decay mode has been considered. It is shown that FCC and SppC have great potential for discovery of excited () quark: up to 44.1 (36.3) and 58.4 (47.8) TeV masses, respectively. For degenerate case (M = M), these values are 45.9 and 60.9 TeV, respectively. This discovery will also afford an opportunity to determine the compositeness scale up to multi-PeV level.
