Riddhick Birbonshi, Arnab Patra, P. D. Srivastava

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the spectral properties of a generalized difference operator on p spaces, extending previous results to cases where the involved sequences are not necessarily convergent.
Contribution
It determines the spectrum, point spectrum, continuous spectrum, and residual spectrum of the operator a,b on p spaces, generalizing earlier work to non-convergent sequences.
Findings
Spectral properties of a,b are fully characterized.
Results extend previous spectral analysis to non-convergent sequences.
Provides a comprehensive spectral decomposition for a,b.
Abstract
In this paper, we determine the spectrum, the point spectrum, the continuous spectrum and the residual spectrum of the generalized difference operator on the sequence space where the real sequences and are not necessarily convergent. Hence our results generalize the work given by Akhmedov and El-Shabrawy [Math. Slovaca 65~(5) (2015) 1137--1152] for the sequence space .
