Scalaron the healer: removing the strong-coupling in the Higgs- and Higgs-dilaton inflations
Dmitry Gorbunov, Anna Tokareva

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that adding an $R^2$ term to Higgs-based inflation models resolves strong-coupling issues, elevating the energy scales to the Planck level across scalar, gauge, and gravity sectors.
Contribution
It introduces an $R^2$ term to Higgs inflation models, making them consistent by raising strong-coupling scales to the Planck energy.
Findings
Strong coupling scales are lifted to the Planck scale
Higgs-inflation and Higgs-dilaton models become consistent
Unified treatment of scalar, gauge, and gravity sectors
Abstract
We show that introducing -term makes the Higgs-inflation and Higgs-dilaton inflation consistent models: the strong coupling energy scales in scalar, gauge and gravity sectors all are lifted up to the Planck scale.
