Bingfang Yang, Huaying Zhang, Biaofeng Hou, Ning Liu

TL;DR
This paper investigates the potential to detect T-odd top partner pairs in dilepton final states at the 14 TeV LHC within the littlest Higgs Model with T-parity, providing projected mass limits based on luminosity.
Contribution
It presents a detailed analysis of T-odd top partner pair production and decay signatures at the LHC, estimating the discovery reach and mass limits for various luminosities.
Findings
Lower mass limits for T-odd top partner are about 1.04-1.23 TeV at 2σ confidence with up to 300 fb$^{-1}$.
Mass limits can be increased to about 1.34-1.44 TeV with 1000-3000 fb$^{-1}$ luminosity.
The study demonstrates the observability of T-odd top partners in dilepton final states at high luminosity.
Abstract
In the littlest Higgs Model with T-parity, we discuss the pair production of the T-odd top partner () which decays almost 100\% into the top quark and the lightest T-odd particle (). Considering the current constraints, we investigate the observability of the T-odd top partner pair production through the process in final states with two leptons at 14 TeV LHC. We analyze the signal significance and find that the lower limit on the T-odd top partner mass are about 1.04 TeV, 1.14 TeV, 1.23 TeV at confidence level at 14TeV LHC with the integrated luminosity of 30 fb, 100fb, 300fb. This lower limit can be raised to about 1.34(1.44) TeV if we use 1000(3000) fb of integrated luminosity.
