Covariance of the classical Brink-Schwarz superparticle
Ezra Getzler, Sean Pohorence

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the classical Brink-Schwarz superparticle can be formulated as a generalized AKSZ field theory within the Batalin-Vilkovisky framework, highlighting cohomological properties.
Contribution
It establishes a new perspective by modeling the superparticle as a generalized AKSZ theory using BV formalism and cohomology analysis.
Findings
Superparticle modeled as AKSZ theory
BV cohomology vanishes below degree -1
Provides a new geometric formulation
Abstract
We show that the classical Brink-Schwarz superparticle is a generalized AKSZ field theory. We work in the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism: the main technical tool is the vanishing of Batalin--Vilkovisky cohomology below degree -1.
