D. Kovaleva, O. Malkov, P. Kaygorodov

TL;DR
The paper discusses how variable stars within binary and multiple systems are represented in the Binary Star Database, integrating various observational data types.
Contribution
It introduces a method for representing variable stars in binary systems within the BDB, enhancing data integration.
Findings
Improved representation of variable stars in binary systems.
Integration of multiple observational data types.
Enhanced database consistency and usability.
Abstract
The BDB, Binary star DataBase http://bdb.inasan.ru combines data of the catalogues of binary and multiple stars of all observational types. There is a number of ways for variable stars to form or to be a part of binary or multiple systems. We describe how such stars are represented in the database.
