TL;DR
This paper searches for CP and P violation in specific baryon decays using triple-product asymmetries, finding no significant violations, and reports the first observation of a particular decay mode involving Lambda_b baryons.
Contribution
It introduces a novel search for CP and P violation in baryon decays using triple-product asymmetries and reports the first observation of a new decay channel involving Lambda_b baryons.
Findings
No significant CP or P violation observed.
First observation of Lambda_b to pK-chi_c0 decay.
Measurements consistent with Standard Model predictions.
Abstract
A search for P and violation using triple-product asymmetries is performed with , and decays. The data sample corresponds to integrated luminosities of 1.0fb and 2.0fb, recorded with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7TeV and 8TeV, respectively. The - and -violating asymmetries are measured both integrating over all phase space and in specific phase-space regions. No significant deviation from or symmetry is found. The first observation of decay is also reported.
