Jian Zhang, Chong-Xing Yue, Chun-Hua Li

TL;DR
This paper analyzes all existing $D ightarrow K \, \ell^+ \nu_{\ell}$ decay measurements to determine form factors and CKM matrix elements, and uses these results to constrain scalar leptoquark models for new physics.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive extraction of form factors and CKM matrix elements from experimental data and lattice calculations, and explores new physics constraints on scalar leptoquarks.
Findings
Determined $f_+^K(0)|V_{cs}|=0.7182\pm0.0029$
Extracted $|V_{cs}|=0.964\pm0.004\pm0.019$
Placed constraints on scalar leptoquarks in $D\rightarrow K$ decays.
Abstract
By analyzing all existing measurements for ( ) decays, we find that the determinations of both the vector form factor and scalar form factor for semileptonic decays from these measurements are feasible. By taking the parameterization of the one order series expansion of the and , is determined to be , and the shape parameters of and are and , respectively. Combining with the average of and lattice calculaltion, the is extracted to be where the first error is experimental and the second theoretical. Alternatively, the is extracted to be by taking the as…
