Magnetic Monopoles in (Noncommutative) Quantum Mechanics
Samuel Kov\'a\v{c}ik, Peter Pre\v{s}najder

TL;DR
This paper reformulates quantum mechanics using the relation between complex and real spaces to incorporate magnetic monopoles and explore noncommutative quantum mechanics, providing a new perspective on magnetic monopoles in quantum theory.
Contribution
It introduces a novel formulation of quantum mechanics that simultaneously describes magnetic monopoles and noncommutative space structures.
Findings
Reformulation of quantum mechanics using complex-real space relations
Inclusion of magnetic monopoles in the quantum framework
Quantization of space leading to noncommutative quantum mechanics
Abstract
We utilize the close relation between the complex space and the real space to reformulate quantum mechanics in a manner which allows to, either or both, describe magnetic monopoles and quantize the underlying space, obtaining (noncommutative) quantum mechanics (with magnetic monopoles).
