TL;DR
This paper presents the development of ultra-fast silicon waveguide integrated graphene photodetectors achieving bandwidths over 128 GHz, suitable for next-generation optical communication systems.
Contribution
It introduces the fastest graphene-based integrated photodetectors with wafer-scale compatibility, surpassing previous bandwidth limitations.
Findings
Bandwidth >128 GHz achieved
Compatible with wafer-scale production
Suitable for ultrafast optical communication
Abstract
We report on the fastest silicon waveguide integrated photodetectors with a bandwidth larger than 128 GHz for ultrafast optical communication. The photodetectors are based on CVD graphene that is compatible to wafer scale production methods.
