Once more on the Higgs decay into two photons
J. Gegelia, Ulf-G. Mei{\ss}ner

TL;DR
This paper clarifies the calculation of the Higgs boson decay into two photons, demonstrating that a gauge-symmetry preserving regularization yields consistent, gauge-independent results across different gauges.
Contribution
It shows that using a gauge-symmetry preserving regularization method resolves discrepancies in Higgs decay calculations across gauges.
Findings
Reproduces the classical gauge-independent result for Higgs decay
Demonstrates consistency between R_xi and unitary gauges
Validates the regularization method for gauge-invariant calculations
Abstract
We comment on the recently reiterated claim that the contribution of the W-boson loop to the Higgs boson decay into two photons leads to different expressions in the gauge and the unitary gauge. By applying a gauge-symmetry preserving regularization with higher-order covariant derivatives we reproduce once again the "classical" gauge-independent result.
