TL;DR
This paper proposes a superconformal framework for a non-Abelian 6d tensor multiplet using an Abelian background vector field, ensuring algebra closure and coupling to hypermultiplets.
Contribution
It introduces a novel ansatz for superconformal transformations in non-Abelian 6d tensor multiplets with specific background field conditions.
Findings
Closure of supersymmetry requires the background vector to be Abelian.
Superconformal transformations are obtained and closed off-shell.
Coupling to hypermultiplets is successfully achieved.
Abstract
We assume the existence of a background vector field that enables us to make an ansatz for the superconformal transformations for the non-Abelian 6d tensor multiplet. Closure of supersymmetry on generators of the conformal algebra, requires that the vector field is Abelian, has scaling dimension minus one and that the supersymmetry parameter as well as all the fields in the tensor multiplet have vanishing Lie derivatives along this vector field. We couple the tensor multiplet to a hypermultiplet and obtain superconformal transformations that we close off-shell.
